This year, the Middle Years Council takes their annual school tours section of the conference to the Child Advocacy Centre in Calgary. The tours, always a popular part of our annual conference will hopefully be on Thursday April 22, 2021.
This year we will be having two tours due to the constraints of the CAC, and the important work they do.
The first tour will take place from 10:00 am -11:30 am. Light snacks and coffee will be provided. Delegates will have a 30-minute presentation on what the Child Advocacy Centre is and how it supports our most vulnerable children, followed by a tour of the building.
The second tour will take place a 12:30-2:00 pm with light snacks and coffee and the same as above will apply.
Each tour will have about 5 people touring around the facility with different tour guides giving overviews on how the centre supports children.
PARKING: At the Centre, there is a charge for parking at a rate of $5/hour. This cost is the responsibility of the conference delegate. The tour will be about 1 1/2 hours long, so please plan accordingly.
The Calgary Child Advocacy Centre (CCAC)is a non-profit organization that, together with our partners, is taking a leadership role to advance the way our country understands and addresses child abuse.
